Aphrodite Hills is an upmarket golf resort located in Paphos district, just passed the village of Pissouri, and just before Secret Valley golf course, on the way to Paphos, from Limassol direction. The exclusive Intercontinental Hotel is based here. The golfing also looks great, but I feel they do need to do more with the new better PGA golf course and country club being built in Tersefanou, in Larnaca district. Another problem for home and apartment owners in Aphrodite Hills are the outrageous annual charges/ running costs. One is a maintenance payment of a few thousand Euro to the village of Aphrodite Hills, and then theres another annual maintenance charge for the facilities within your specific development - again a few thousand Euro depending on the size of your property and location (villas also have to pay this). The noise of the new Orites wind farm is present, and its a shame the wind turbines look terrible and even light up at night! You can see them around most of the resort. It makes me wonder how can the properties hold their value... no wonder there seem to be many properties for sale.
